The CVS provides:

  • funding advice and information to local voluntary and community groups
  • information on trusts and foundations, lottery funding, European funding, local statutory agencies, national government funding and fundraising
  • one-to-one support through the whole funding process or by providing useful training courses
  • advice on a range of voluntary sector issues, from governance to quality standards

The CVS sometimes distributes small grants for training such as the Quality Standards Bursary fund. This fund aims to assist Third Sector organisations to access training to improve organisational performance and/or implement a quality standard. (Download the application form)

The Directory of Social Change (DSC)

The Directory of Social Change is an internationally recognised independent source of information and support to voluntary and community sectors worldwide. DSC enables the community and voluntary sectors to achieve their aims through the provision of training and information.
