How to apply for a grant
We
are happy to provide early guidance before a preliminary
proposal or formal application is submitted. Please contact Sarah Blomfield for more information.

To be considered for an award from The Bedford Charity we strongly recommend
that you fill in a preliminary proposal, which can be used to seek guidance
from our Trustees.
If appropriate, following this guidance from the Trustees, you will
then need to fill in an application form
to have your request considered for an award by members of the Grants
Committee.
Please read the Grant guidelines section carefully.
Guidance notes
will also be provided if you request an application form.

It
will be to your advantage to submit your preliminary proposal or
application well before you need a final decision on your request.
If you do this, and our Trustees feel they need more time to consider
your request fully, they will not feel obliged to give you a yes
or no answer straight away.
We may want to undertake some local (or more general) research to understand in more detail what your project aims to achieve.
The outcome of this investigation may be favourable to your request, so please give us the time to do this extra work if we need to. |
