Our Annual Report of Accounts and Trustees
Each year we publish our Annual Report, highlighting our activities for the previous financial year.
As well as detailing our accounts the report also highlights key activities at our schools, news from our grants programmes and almshouses. It also shows how we provide public benefit to the local community and a copy of our public benefit report is available to download here.
Highlights for this year include:
- £1.74m in grants were awarded to organisations and individuals in Bedford (bringing our ten year total to over £8.8m)
- 70 grant awards were made during the period
- £61.7m is the current value of our endowment fund
- 45 partnership projects were carried out between our schools and maintained schools
- 1,250 people are employed by us in Bedford
- £35k to Carers in Bedfordshire to help & support informal carers in Bedford
- £5k to Hanover Court residents to redevelop their communal garden
- £57,600 in university bursaries to 16 pupils from maintained schools
- £8,567 towards school uniform grants
- £99,912 to the Young Foundation’s UpRising Leadership Programme
- £2.14m supporting 300 pupils with their Harpur Trust school fees
- 64 pupils offered full fee remissions at our schools
- 3,999 pupils were educated in our schools
- £30k to Bedfordshire Refugee & Asylum Seeker Support’s, Onwards & Upwards Programme
